Patients Participation Group
Dear Patients of Churchill Surgery,
Churchill Surgery Patient Participation Group
We are pleased to announce that the Patient Participation Group (PPG) will resume operations soon.
The PPG is open to all the Surgery's registered patients, or their representatives. To enable the
For the Patient Participation Group to be effective it needs to have a membership that allows it to reach the broadest cross section of the patient population and we will be communicating its formation within the patient population through various means. However, please may we request that you also communicate and ‘spread the word’, as we wish to have a membership which is truly representative of all the patients of our Surgery.
The PPG will hold welcoming and inclusive meetings (usually about four to six per year) at the Surgery and/or suitable locations around the villages in which the Churchill Surgery serves.
Initially, it is considered that we need to understand what the priorities of the PPG should be and how we can maximise the involvement of the whole community. We can only truly achieve this by inviting you to join the surgery PPG
This is a real opportunity for registered patients to get involved and to be a ‘critical friend’ to the Practice, including:
- Advising the practice on our patients' perspective and providing insight into the responsiveness and quality of services
- Carrying out research into the views of those who use the practice
- Organising health promotion events
- Regular communication with the patient population.
If you are interested in joining the Patient Participation Group please email: churchhill.surgery@nhs.net
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Fred Howard
Chair of PPG
